Account Suspension
It is important that you forward emails and copy your files from Google Drive. Once your account is disabled, you will no longer be able to access them.
If you are leaving at the end of the school year, your account will be disabled in August, so you have the whole of July to back up your account.
If you are leaving in the middle of the school year, your account will be disabled the day after you leave so you have to do this right away.
Access to school systems such as Wisdom, Gateway, Gmail, Google Drive, etc, will be deactivated after you leave WIS.
Access to software such as Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, etc, will be deactivated after you leave WIS.
Access to school Gmail will be suspended after you leave WIS. Make sure that create a personal email account and use that for registration to online platforms (eg. twitter, facebook, Instagram, etc)
Use this option to transfer content to another Google account.
Files that will transfer:
Email in Gmail (not contacts, chats, or tasks)
Documents that you own in Google Drive (except files in the "Google Photos" section of Drive)
Documents in My Drive
Documents in your "Shared with me” folder (unless, to restrict sharing, the document owner turns off downloads and copies for commenters and viewers)
Files that will not transfer:
Shared Drives are not supported
Google Classrooms, Photos, Forms, Sites or My Maps are not transferred
To use Google Transfer
Before you begin, your destination Google account must have enough storage space.
Login to your school account
Go to https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/quota and check your storage space.
If you have more than 15GB of data, you need to buy more storage for your destination Google account
Start the transfer
Login to your school account
Enter the email address of the destination Google account to copy your content.
Select Get code.
On your destination Google account, check your inbox for a confirmation email. In the email, select Get confirmation code. A new tab will open with a code.
On your school account, go back to the "Transfer your content" page. Enter the code, then choose Verify.
Choose the content you'd like to copy, then select Start transfer.
Details about the copy process
The copy process usually happens within a few hours, but it can take up to a week.
Copied files might appear in batches on your Google Account during the copy process.
When your files are finished copying, you'll get an email at your Gmail address.

Use this option to download content
Files that will takeout:
Files will be downloaded in a variety of formats e.g. Word, PPTX, XLSX JPG, PDF, MP4, JSON or HTML formats
Google Classroom content is not downloaded in readable format; it is exported as JSON files. Use Takeout to download the Drive Classroom folder.
Options to download content from YouTube, Calendar, Contacts, Photos as well as Chrome Bookmarks.
Files that will not takeout:
Shared Drives are not supported
To use Google Takeout
Login to your school account.
Choose which Google products to include in your download. To see more details and options for a product, select the down arrow.
Select Next.
Choose your archive's File type. Usually, ZIP is the best format to choose.
Next, choose how your archive is delivered
For "Delivery method," select Send download link via email.
Choose Create archive.
Wait for the process to complete, you will receive an email notification when done.
In the email that arrives, click Download archive.
To download your data, follow the onscreen instructions.

Archives of Google inboxes or Google Groups are typically exported as .mbox files which require a third-party application to open and navigate. We recommend utilizing Mozilla Thunderbird as it's free, secure, and relatively easy to use.
